Education

I support the bipartisan education reforms in H.955, which create regional partnerships to help school districts share services, reduce administrative costs, and transition to a more equitable student-based funding model. As these changes are implemented, I will advocate for a system that improves educational outcomes, treats educators fairly, and provides sustainable, transparent funding for Vermont schools.

Housing

Safe, affordable housing is essential for every Vermonter. I support expanding housing opportunities in both urban and rural communities, addressing homelessness through proven approaches like Housing First, and increasing the supply of homes to meet the needs of current residents and those who choose to make Vermont their home. Strengthening our housing supply is critical to Vermont’s future.

Medical costs

Healthcare costs are placing an increasing burden on Vermont families. I support practical reforms that improve affordability, expand access to quality care, strengthen the healthcare workforce, and attract more medical professionals to our state. Every Vermonter should be able to access the care they need without facing overwhelming financial hardship.

Data privacy and technology

Technology and AI are transforming how we live, work, and learn. I support policies that protect data privacy, encourage responsible innovation, and ensure these tools are used ethically. As AI becomes more common, we must also help young people develop strong interpersonal skills, creativity, and critical thinking, recognizing that balance is essential.

Budget

As a CPA and former elected official, I believe every taxpayer dollar should be spent responsibly, transparently, and with accountability. Vermont must balance fiscal responsibility with investments in the services and infrastructure that strengthen our communities. I support policies that promote economic growth, workforce development, and career and technical education while keeping Vermont affordable for families and businesses. As federal funding becomes more uncertain, thoughtful budgeting and careful stewardship of public resources will be more important than ever.
